The Diplomat keeps Netflix #1 spot; Season 2 ordered

The Diplomat remained atop Netflix’s English TV List for the second week in a row with 66.46 million hours viewed in the week commencing April 24th – reaching the Top 10 in 84 countries. Since its premiere, the political drama has gripped audiences, with over 18 million views (123.95 million hours viewed divided by 6.76 runtime hours). Netflix has already confirmed a second season.
Meanwhile, Season 2 of Colombian drama The Marked Heart also retained its top slot on the Non-English TV list with 46.31 million hours viewed. The Night Agent (37.68 million hours viewed), Beef (24.48 million hours viewed), Season 4 of Love Is Blind (12.08 million hours viewed), The Glory (7.68 million hours viewed) and Welcome to Eden Seasons 1 (15.66 million hours viewed) and 2 (37.54 million hours viewed) all showed staying power as they returned to Netflix’s weekly Top 10 lists.
New TV entrants include Season 2 of the Emmy award-winning series Sweet Tooth in the #2 spot on the English TV list with 48.34 million hours viewed (Season 1 also re-entered the list), the final seven episodes of Season 2 of Firefly Lane with 43.49 million hours viewed, the seventh and final season of Workin’ Moms with 18.19 million hours viewed, and Season 3 of Indian Matchmaking with 11.41 million hours viewed.
On the film side, viewers were drawn to Vietnam in A Tourist’s Guide to Love, which was #1 on the English Films List with 20.92 million hours viewed. Returning to the list was The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die (8.34 million hours viewed), Murder Mystery 2 (6.15 million hours viewed) and Chupa (4.3 million hours viewed).
On the Non-English Films List, French action-adventure AKA debuted at #1 with 32.53 million hours viewed. Also new to the list was Polish romantic comedy Kiss, Kiss! with 6.57 million hours viewed. Returning favourites included Thai thriller Hunger, Turkish thriller Chokehold, Swedish romantic comedy One More Time, Mexican comedy Queens on the Run, Spanish horror Phenomena and Korean action-adventure Kill Boksoon.
