BBC First launches in Moldova

BBC Studios has announced the launch of BBC First linear channel with Orange Moldova, one of the major operators in the territory, marking the British drama channel’s debut in the market. BBC First joins BBC News on the platform and is available to all subscribers of their digital cable TV service.
The channel debuts with a selection of popular dramas. These include Britain’s longest-running crime drama Silent Witness starring Emilia Fox which returns with a 25th anniversary series from June a13th, and multi-award winning crime drama The Kettering Incident, starring Elizabeth Debicki, on June 17th. The further rollout of the channel will see viewers enjoy premieres of such titles as Somewhere Boy, Outlaws and Life After Life.
All programming will be available in English with Romanian subtitles.

The channel has recently also been launched in Albania with Vodafone.
